Owen P.J. King – President and CEO
The founder of Stonehurst Management, Owen King has worked in the financial industries for thirty years. Since graduating with honors in Neuroscience from Amherst College, he has advised large businesses, municipalities, and individual investors in areas including asset management, debt issuance, and structured finance.
Prior to creating Stonehurst in 2002, Mr. King worked at Robert R. Meredith where he managed its global asset allocation program which applied advanced financial theory, investment research, and quantitative analyses to investment management. His clients included wealthy individuals, corporations, universities, and foundations.
While at P.G. Corbin and Prudential Securities, Mr. King had primary responsibility in advising some of the largest municipalities in the United States (including New York City, Philadelphia, the States of Connecticut and Washington, and Metro-Dade County (FL) among many others) and many of the world’s largest companies (primarily Fortune 200 corporations) on financing strategies and structures.
Mr. King is involved with numerous industry, not-for-profit, and educational organizations. He has been a director of both public and private organizations, at which he chaired numerous investment, finance, and other committees. He was named a John C. Whitehead Fellow of the Foreign Policy Association and is Treasurer (and past President) of INCLUDEnyc (formerly Resources for Children with Special Needs). He was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by Amherst College where he has held numerous volunteer and elected positions.

Henrik A. Brun – Managing Director
Henrik Brun joined Stonehurst in 2003 as a Vice President focusing on financial planning and global asset allocation for high net worth individuals, families, and not-for-profit organizations. Mr. Brun was previously a Financial Advisor at UBS in the Private Wealth Management Group.
Mr. Brun first worked with Owen King, the founder and CEO of Stonehurst, at Robert R. Meredith & Co. as a research analyst within its asset allocation group. While at Meredith, Mr. Brun’s responsibilities included investment manager due diligence, investment selection, and performance monitoring. He also contributed to the team’s focus on tax minimization strategies. Mr. Brun began his investment management career at Bank Street Advisors, a boutique investment advisory firm that managed a taxefficient hedge fund. The combination of Mr. Brun’s broad-based experiences within the asset management industry, from multi-national to specialized independent firms, provides Stonehurst’s clients with an innovative set of strategies and a unique approach to managing wealth.
Mr. Brun is a Trustee of the New York Institute For Special Education, one of oldest (founded 1831) and leading institutions for the education of the blind and visually impaired in America. He sits on the Finance Committee responsible for the asset allocation and oversight of $120 million in endowment and pension assets of the school. Mr. Brun is a graduate of Brown University and has an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He is an avid fly fisherman, squash player, triathlete, and wine collector.
